Somewhere in the middle...

Ah transition...I never quite know what to make of these times. It's always a little difficult to be somewhere in the middle between one thing and the next. I like change, don't get me wrong, but I'm not a glutton for punishment, I mean does anyone really love to move? :) I currently have 30 odd days left here in California as a YWAM staff. I want to make the most of my time here. We had a prayer time last week as a staff for our base. It was really exciting to be with my YWAM family hearing the voice of God and interceding on behalf of the vision God has placed on our hearts. As a community we sensed that God was bringing us into a season of increased vision and of greater harvest. I'm really excited to be a part of that for the next several weeks.

Last week we resumed our weekly "in-reaches," a time where we open up our home and cook a hot meal to anyone willing to come. That's been a lot of fun. Yesterday we had all our homeless friends come again! It was so great to see them and to be a part of their lives once more. One of our friends was telling us about how there has been an huge increase in the number of homeless in Oceano this summer. It's sad to see how many people end up living in the cycle of homelessness and poverty even here in one of the richest counties in the U.S. Our prayer is to see restoration and reconciliation with God occur in the lives of those we serve.
Outside of ministry times I've been having fun as well. Hanging out with friends, taking some vacation time, and enjoying the central coast. I have started taking dance classes again. I really missed dancing while I was overseas and it's been a tonne of fun (and quite painful) to start up again. My goal is to dance as much as possible while my schedule allows it before moving back to Calgary where I won't have asmuch opportunity.
So as one season wraps up and another unfolds my heart and desire it to continue seeking and obeying God in all that He would have me do. Please pray for me as I continue serving the Lord here in ministry as well as while I begin preparing more intentionally for my return back to Canada and for life as a full-time student.
