It was my birthday last week. I am now officially 22. People keep asking me how it feels and I'm not sure what to answer. It feels like 21 but with less time left to go. I had alot of fun last week. I declared to my friends that it was going to be my birthday week and sure enough I felt so blessed and loved the whole week through. I was especially happy because Sarah Ortega my best friend came to visit me while her husband was out of town. It was so much fun to have girl time and introduce her to all my friends up here. On friday night I had a bit of a party where people dressed up like someone from the movies or Hollywood. It was hilarious seeing all of the costumes and by the end of the night everybody was dancing. It was alot of fun.
Lately I've been working alot on preparing for the upcoming DTS. Our desire is to have two schools with 15 students each. The applications had been coming in quite slowly and we'd been continuously praying for more and more students. This past week we've seen lots of applications go out and come in and that has been a huge encouragement. Please pray that God would continue to lay these upcoming DTS's on the hearts of the right people.
Every Wednesday we have what we call an "Inreach" which is a time when we invite people from the community into our homes for food and fellowship. This fall we've realy seen this ministry expand. We've had as many as 40 people in our little home. We've had a local youth group, friends of ours, many homeless people, and neighbors. It's been alot of fun to have so many gather together and be able to interact. We usually have a couple people playing guitar, some on the hand drums, and others singing as well. Please pray that God would continue plessing these times and that we would have more oppurtunities to share God's love with people.
This past week four guys from Calgary and surrounding areas have been at our base helping us out. They are on a missions trip which takes them from Calgary all the way down to Mexico. They have been staying mostly at YWAM bases up to date and have been doing manual labor and helping out any way they can. It's been really fun having them around and anywhere they go around here people flood them with questions and jokes about Canadians. Seriously though, they have been extremely servant hearted and a real blessing to have around. Please pray for Dave, Hoover, Kris, and Jesse as they continue travelling for the next several weeks.

Hoover like a vacuum?
Allo Cindy-bi,
Joan Friesen told me that her son was traveling and help as the Lord led them. So it seems that he has led him and his group to your base.
We love you,
mom and dad XXXXX
happy American thanksgiving :)
