Ava Grace Robert

My niece was born yesterday.
Her name is Ava Grace Robert.
She weighed 7lbs 3oz.

I was so excited when I found out that she was born. She was two weeks overdue. My brother and April sounded so excited on the phone when I talked to them. I loved hearing them like that! I know that they love her so much and I also love her even though I have never met her. I am ecstatic about being an auntie.

This afternoon I heard that Ava Grace is really sick. She was doing really well and all of a sudden her blood sugar levels dropped and she went into shock. Her heart also stopped twice, but they were able to ressucitate her. She was transfered from the Rockyview Hospital in critical condition to the NICU ward at the Foothills. They didn't really know what was wrong with her.

The last I heard after speaking to my parents is that Ava is doing better. She is no longer critical and on life support, but they are still unsure what is wrong with her and her condition is serious. They have brought in a team of specialists that are trying to determine what the problem is.

Please pray for little Ava Grace as well as my brother Joel and his wife April.
Please also pray for the team of doctors.

I know that God is sovereign and that this is not a surprise to him. He loves Ava more than Joel, April, or anybody ever could. That is the biggest comfort of all.
